Health and Wellness Fair 2020: Rules for Practitioners/Vendors

This date may change due to the current Corona virus situation.  Stay tuned!
FESTIVAL DATE:Saturday, May 9
TIME: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for public,  8:30 – 3:30 for booth holders
LOCATION: Floyd County High School,
new gymnasium 721 Baker St., Floyd, VA

  • All applicants must have a very strong health & wellness focus and serve the community of Floyd County.
  • Fee: $25 for every booth. Apply early as booth spaces are limited, some categories are limited and applications will stop being accepted when all spaces are full or by April 15.  (Corona virus update – go ahead and apply and hopefully all will go as planned.  But do NOT send your money until we give the “all clear” in mid April.)

SET-UP TIME: 8:30 a.m. Saturday (please complete by 10 a.m.)
TEAR-DOWN TIME: 3:15 p.m. Saturday (do not begin before 3 p.m.)

  1. Please read and promptly respond to emails from Partnership for Floyd. Ensure your email address is correct on the application, as it will be the main means of communication. You will be notified of instructions and changes by email. The Fair may be postponed or cancelled due to severe weather or other emergency. Fees are non-refundable. For questions email PartnershipForFloyd@gmail.com
  2. Fees will be due for each application. (When the “all clear” from the Corona virus is given) Partnership for Floyd reserves the right to deny any application without explanation. Space is limited, so apply early. The $25 registration will not be refunded and is considered a donation for this fair or other community projects. If you wish to share a space with another vendor please email before filling out the application.
  3. Vendor and exhibit spaces will be assigned and numbered. Please stay within your assigned borders.
  4. Set-up time will be 8:30-10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9. Tear-down will be 3:15- 3:45 p.m. that day. Please respect this timing.
  5. Vendors must bring their own tables, chairs, and equipment. A “booth” is an empty space 10’ wide x 8’ deep, large enough for 3 tables in a U shape.
  6. Electricity is NOT available at most booths and must be applied for. Required electrical appliances must be listed on application. You must bring your own heavy-duty extension cord and power bar. Laptops should be fully charged and not need electric.
  7. Partnership for Floyd reserves the right to use the application and public information provided by the vendors and to publish pictures of the event.
  8. Vendors need to keep their space orderly, protect the gym floor and help clean up after the fair. Vendors may be asked to remove any items not consistent with their application or with the Health and Wellness theme. Free snacks should be healthy ones.
  9. Vendors or practitioners are responsible for any permits, insurance, license requirements, etc. A commercial food business requires a license. Collecting and reporting of the Virginia Sales Tax is the responsibility of the vendor.
  10. Be available at your booth for conversations and demonstrations throughout the day. It will be nice to have more than one person present so each has time to explore, learn from and get to know others in the Floyd health & wellness community.
  11. All exhibitors and assistants must follow these rules as well as Floyd County High School rules and regulations. No smoking; no pets; only legitimate service animals are permitted.
  12. Floyd Health and Wellness Fair, Partnership for Floyd, and contracted workers are not responsible or liable for accidents, loss, theft, or claims resulting from exhibitor’s participation. Exhibitors are fully responsible for protection of their property, for securing their displays and keeping their space clean and safe.
